Taylor Gordon: Owner Trainer

From the time I had my first horse at 11 years old, I have enjoyed working with horses. Starting out I learned many horsemanship techniques by studying natural horsemanship professionals, working with trainers as well as friends who had horses. Most of all, I simply spent time riding, training and showing different horses which has taught me a great deal. I still have a lifetime more to learn and am a firm believer that as soon as you choose to stop learning you stop getting better.

I am very passionate about the performance horses more specifically reiners and cow horses and have a huge drive to pursue that passion and be the best i can be in an extremely competitive industry. I enjoy seeing how willing and teachable to an extremely high level of performance these amazing animals that God gave us are. I chose to really test this observation in 2017 with the purchase of wild spayed filly Abilena AKA South Steens Painted Pawnee from the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity Sale. Abilena is one of 12 hand selected mustangs sold for a first ever event in which through the course of a year we will train to Rein, Cut a cow, and go down the fence at the futurity in Reno Nevada in September of 2018.

With two colt starting champion buckles in different states, a national Reserve Champion Colt Starting Challenge USA tittle, and around 400 colts started including horses straight from the wild, I am also passionate about starting horses effective and efficiently. Always striving to give them the best chance at successful careers and happy lives.

I choose to further my knowledge everyday and learn new things such as Dressage, Team Roping, Sorting and Team Penning, and much more. And at Diamond T Horsemanship our goals are operating a honest and successful business with the horses and clients needs as first priority.
